Officials say Edgar Ray Killen, the preacher and Ku Klux Klansman convicted for plotting the 1964 slayings of three civil rights activists in Mississippi, has died.<br />Killen was serving a 60-year sentence for his role in the slayings of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner.
