Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz has defended his controversial Semenyih speech which allegedly calls for vernacular schools to be shut down.<br /><br />In his campaign speech on Sunday, he also reportedly questioned the appointment of non-Muslims as the Attorney General, Chief Justice and Finance Minister.<br /><br />The Padang Rengas MP also said that he was called up by the police on Monday to provide a statement following a police report over the speech.<br /><br />Nazri added that such allegations are a ploy to turn voters against Barisan in the Semenyih by-election.
