The Attorney-General's Chambers has been urged to review Section 309 of the Penal Code so that those who attempt suicide are not punished but provided with psychiatric treatment.<br /><br />National Mental Health Promotion Advisory Council member Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye called for the repeal on Friday to treat those individuals as patients, and not as criminals.
