Marine police seized almost RM700,000 worth of contraband cigarettes and liquor from a house at Indahpura in Kulai, Johor.<br /><br />Southern Region Two commander Asst Comm Paul Khiu Khon Chiang said such items would have been sold during the festive seasons.<br /><br />He said the marine police expect a spike in smuggling cases with Christmas and New Year celebrations just around the corner.<br /><br />He said this during a press conference at the Southern Region Two headquarters in Tampoi on Wednesday.
