Pakatan Harapan's promise to the Chinese community for the recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) has remained a promise post 2018 general election.<br /> <br />While some Chinese educationists harbour hope that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the Prime Minister and Education Minister is in a position to grant recognition for UEC without anymore delay, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Kas Siong said he chose to remain cautious.
