Mount Etna in Sicily sent a huge plume of ash billowing into the air on Friday (August 14th) as volcanic activity increased significantly. <br /><br />The ash, which was dispersed by the wind in a south-southeast direction, fell on villages in the area of Pedara, TreCastagni and Viagrande.
