Although there is no scientific evidence that traditional Malay and Chinese herbal medicines can treat the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Health (MOH) did not discount the possibility that they may help in the recovery.<br /><br />Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that on Thursday when asked about the discussion his ministry had with a team of visiting Chinese medical experts to the country.<br /><br />Dr Noor Hisham added that such traditional medicines and treatments such as acupuncture can be used to complement the treatment instead of being the treatment itself.<br /><br />The Health DG further explained that the ministry’s discussions with their counterparts in China was not on remedial cures but in curbing and controlling the infection rate of the illness.<br /><br />WATCH MORE: https://thestartv.com/c/news<br />SUBSCRIBE: https://cutt.ly/TheStar<br />LIKE: https://fb.com/TheStarOnline
