집단감염 우려 속 서울 도심 광복절 집회<br /><br />Amid concerns over the surging number of COVID-19 cases in the metropolitan area, there are large scale demonstrations taking place here in Seoul today.<br />This comes despite efforts from Seoul Metropolitan City and the Police to contain the spread of the virus by ordering the prohibition of large gatherings.<br />Around 4-thousand people gathered for a demonstration arranged by a former opposition party lawmaker in the early afternoon in downtown Seoul, Gwanghwamun Square.<br />The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions also held a demonstration around this area with more than 2-thousand participants.<br />To prevent any clashes, the Police have dispatched around 90 squadrons totalling 6-thousand officers to downtown Seoul.<br />
