A village in North Sumatra, Indonesia has been left abandoned since 2014 when a volcanic eruption forced its 400 inhabitants to evacuate.<br /><br />Footage filmed on August 17 shows the eerie remains of Beras Tepuvillage which contains several collapsed and damaged structures.<br /><br />The settlement lies in the wake of the active volcano Mount Sinabung which erupted on August 10.<br /><br />In 2014, 16 people were killed as the volcano spurted out volcanic ash and larva, forcing nearby villages to evacuate.<br /><br />Authorities ordered the local community not to carry out activities in the villages to avoid further casualties.
