의협-복지부, 코로나19 상황 엄중에 일단 만나 대화하기로<br /><br />South Korea's doctors and the health ministry will soon sit down for talks... to prevent more strikes by doctors over the government's proposals for healthcare reform.<br />The Korean Medical Association and the health ministry have agreed to a meeting, at an as-yet-unspecified date, that would include the KMA president and the health minister.<br />They'll be looking for ways to prevent a second strike scheduled later this month... and a third walkout by resident doctors starting this Friday.<br />The government's proposed reforms include the training of thousands more doctors, which the KMA says would be a poor use of funds.<br />Instead, the KMA says new money for the sector should be used to improve pay for doctors currently in training.<br />The Korea Association of Medical Colleges has also asked medical students and trainee doctors to not go on strike but focus on their work and their studies.<br />
