A massive mudslide hit a town in northwestern China, flooding over 300 houses and leaving 48 people trapped on the rooftops.<br /><br />In the video, filmed in Wen County in Gansu Province on August 17, mud can be seen flying down a slope, washing away a utility pole.<br /><br />Vehicles were swept away and houses were submerged in the floodwater.<br /><br />The mudslide was caused by days of heavy rainfall. Helicopters were used to rescue the trapped people and currently 28 out of the 48 trapped people have been saved.<br /><br />The video was provided by local media with permission.
