'우편투표 지연' 논란 미 연방우체국장, 상•하원서 증언하기로<br /><br />The head of the U.S. Postal Service will testify before the Republican-led Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee on Friday and the Democrat-led House Oversight Committee next Monday.<br />The testimonies come as Postmaster General Louis DeJoy faces bipartisan criticism that he made cost-cutting initiatives to his organization that have slowed mail deliveries just months before the November 3rd presidential election.<br />This has raised concerns that the Postal Service will not be able to handle mail-in ballots in a timely manner.<br />DeJoy, who took office in June, swiftly made organizational changes to the country's mail service,... including plans to remove almost 700 mail-sorting machines and public mailboxes in a number of states.<br />
