Homes were flooded after heavy monsoon rains in Delhi, India, on August 20.<br /><br />Footage shows residents trying to scoop out the flood water and wading through the deluge after their property was battered with downpours.<br /><br />Ankit Jain recorded the damage to his home in the city of Gurgaon. He said: ''There were three hours of overnight rain and my house was submerged in water.''<br /><br />Outside on the roads many residents had wade through the knee-deep dirty flood water which blocked homes and traffic.<br /><br />Across India, the death toll from the annual monsoons this year has risen to more than 1,300 with millions displaced from damaged homes.
