A propane gas tank exploded at a campsite while a family were in the kitchen cooking dinner.<br /><br />The three adults and two children were preparing food when the blast happened last night (August 18) in Saraburi province, central Thailand.<br /><br />Neighbors were shocked when they heard the loud explosion before using a fire extinguisher to stop the fire and calling the emergency team for help.<br /><br />Siranee Yenchit, mother of the family, said she was still shaken by the accident but was thankful that they survived. <br /><br />She said "All of us are still shocked after the explosion. We are so grateful that no one died.<br /><br />''I opened the gas stove to cook fish but while the pan was heating up the tank exploded.''<br /><br />Siranee daughter, Sirinthip Yenchit, was injured in the blast and immediately taken to the hospital.<br /><br />The kitchen was covered with grey smoke and black soot while the furniture, ceilings, walls, cupboards, and the appliances were broken.<br /><br />Police officers that investigated the scene believe one of the valves on the gas cylinder was faulty.<br /><br />Captain Anna Chan said: "The explosion may have been caused by the loose joint and tank connection. No deaths were reported at the scene."
