This was the wholesome moment a US husband surprised his "plant fanatic" wife with an extremely rare and expensive monstera.<br /><br />Footage from June 5, which has recently gone viral online, shows Chelsie Wilkinson from Dayton, Ohio have a huge surprise when being alerted to something that "happened to the garage door."<br /><br />The sneaky ruse from husband Alex caught Chelsie off-guard when she noticed the elusive Thai constellation monster on the driveway.<br /><br />Alex told Newsflare: "She wanted this plant for a long time. <br /><br />"I actually was in communication with the proprietor of the shop for over two months attempting to acquire this plant. <br /><br />"Her birthday is June 6 and on June 1, I was told that they were unable to get the plant in stock. <br /><br />"They then messaged a few days later on June 4 and told me they would be receiving one plant on the next day. <br /><br />"I took a half-day off from work to go get it and got in line an hour before the store opened to be sure that I would get it. <br /><br />"It came just in time for her birthday."<br /><br />He also explained that Chelsie is a "plant fanatic" with "around 50" plants in their home.<br /><br />The variegated Thai constellation monstera is a rare find and can be very expensive, retailing for over USD $150 in some outlets making it a very sought-after item for any plant enthusiast.
