Tens of thousands took to the streets of the Belarus capital on Sunday (August 23) calling for President Alexander Lukashenko to step down.<br /><br />Footage filmed by @svsmirnoff shows the large crowd gathered on Independence Square in Minsk.<br /><br />Officials had warned Belarusians against participating in "illegal demonstrations."
