Residents of Grodno in western Belarus took to the streets to protest against the contentious election result from August 9.<br /><br />Nationwide protests have occurred on a regular basis since Alexander Lukashenko claimed 80% of the vote.<br /><br />The international community has shown doubts over the legitimacy of the electoral process.
