This is the heartwarming moment a group of food delivery riders teamed up to save a kitten that fell into a filthy drainage canal.<br /><br />The hapless moggy appeared scared while tiptoeing on the narrow ledge at of the dirty water after heavy monsoon season rain storms in Mandaluyong City, the Philippines on August 2.<br /><br />The men used cardboard and leash as a platform for the cat so they could slowly carry it up to safety.<br /><br />One of the riders, Rey Jalop Ladesma, said they were eating lunch at a nearby food stall when they saw the cat chasing a rat and fell into the canal and began crying for help.<br /><br />He said: "Doing good is for everyone whether it is animal or human. We must not choose whom we should help."
