문대통령 "경제•방역에 범정부적 비상대응 필요"<br /><br />President Moon Jae-in called for pan-government emergency response to both the Covid-19 and the economic fallout and the nation is gripped with a new wave of the pandemic.<br />At a Cabinet meeting today,... he asked officials to direct all efforts toward quarantine while drawing up measures to restore employment stability, minimize economic damage and regain the recovery momentum.<br />I ask the government to focus all its capacity on operating emergency systems to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and to draw up measures to protect jobs, minimize the economic fallout, stabilize people's lives and revive the economy.<br />President Moon called for the swift implementation of the government's third extra budget,... and requested that officials check whether the previous budgets have had a big enough impact.<br />He added that, if necessary, he could convene a meeting of the emergency economic council.<br />Moon has chaired six sessions of the council since March,... where he approved a series of measures, including extra budgets.<br />In today's meeting, the government also passed a number of bills aimed at revitalizing the economy,... such as tax breaks for companies that make investments.<br />
