코로나19 어제 320명 신규확진…사흘만에 다시 300명대 증가<br /><br />South Korea reported 320 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, mainly from the Seoul Metropolitan area.<br />The government is urging the public to strictly abide by social distancing measures.<br />Our Jang Tae-hyun has this report.<br />The number of daily COVID-19 cases reported in South Korea has increased to 320 on Wednesday.<br />Out of those, 307 were local transmissions and 13 were imported cases.<br />There were two more deaths, raising the death toll to 312.<br />Wednesday's 320 cases come after the number of new cases had dropped below 300 on Monday and Tuesday, following nearly 400 new infections reported on Sunday.<br />The country has reported triple digits of new cases for 13 days in a row now.<br />Many of the early cases came from cluster infections at the Sarang Jeil Church in Seoul and an anti-government rally on South Korea's National Liberation Day on August 15th.<br />As of noon Tuesday,... the total number of COVID-19 infections related to the Sarang Jeil Church was tallied at 915.<br />Another 193 cases reported as of Tuesday were related to the rally at the Gwanghwamun Square on August 15th.<br />The authorities are urging the public to follow the strict rules,... saying if the trend continues, it could impose level three social distancing measures.<br />Under level three, the country's economy would take a direct hit, as the nation would basically go into a collective shutdown, with gatherings of more than 10 people prohibited.<br />As the nation battles a surge in cases, all kindergartens, elementary, middle and high schools in the Seoul metropolitan area returned to remote learning on Wednesday.<br />The emergency return did not apply to high school seniors, who are preparing for the upcoming national university entrance exam in December.<br />Jang Tae-hyun, Arirang News.<br />
