A sun bear cub with a deformed hind leg was rescued in the forests of Indonesia and cared for at a conservation centre. <br /><br />This footage taken in the Riau Natural Resources Conservation Center, Pekanbaru, Riau Province on August 26, shows the cub, which had become separated from its mother, being cared for. <br /><br />The head of the local conservation agency, Suharyono, stated: "A male Indonesian Sun Bear (Helarctos malayanus), aged about two months, was found found in a paralysed state, the bear's hind legs cannot be used.<br /><br />"Officers rescued this bear in a forest in Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province."
