A MAN has been shot in broad daylight near a Sikh temple in Birmingham.<br />Police were alerted to the incident in Aston just after 12.30pm. The man is being treated but the extent of his injuries is not yet known.<br /><br />The area around the junction of Wheeler Street and Lozells Road has been cordoned off.<br /><br />There is a heavy police presence at the scene near the Sri Dasmesh Sikh Temple.<br /><br />Bishop Desmond Jaddoo, who works with the community to tackle rising violence, said shots being fired in the area is not unusual.<br /><br />He told Birmingham Live: “It is of concern that this incident happened in broad daylight in front of the passing public and motorists on a very busy road.
