A rat snake in Pune, western India was cut free after it became entangled in safety netting at a construction site on June 14.<br /><br />Snake rescuer Saidas Kusal was called to the site where a construction worker had spotted the snake's head peeping out.<br /><br />The snake was so badly trapped in the net it could hardly move. Kusal managed to cut the netting around the snake's body, setting it free.<br /><br />Kusal said: "The snake was probably caught in the net while chasing a rodent. It had just suffered a few scrapes, so we could release it immediately.”
