공매도 금지 6개월 추가 연장...상장종목 전체<br /><br />South Korea's financial regulator has decided to extend its temporary ban on stock short-selling for another six months amid a resurgence in coronavirus cases.<br />The Financial Services Commission explained on Thursday that it made the decision by "taking into account market volatility" due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<br />A six-month ban was slated to end in mid-September, but has now been extended to March 15th next year and will apply to all listed companies in KOSPI, KOSDAQ and KONEX.<br />Short-selling refers to when shares are borrowed and sold immediately in the hope that they can be bought again at a lower price, thus profiting the seller.<br />
