A resident in Sulphur, Louisiana documented the damage on her home and garage caused by Hurricane Laura on August 27.<br /><br />Heather Abshire circled around her house assessing the damage caused by the ferocious winds and rains.<br /><br />Abshire points out that parts of her garage roof had been blown off and numerous branches of a tree had been scattered across their lawn.<br /><br />She told Newsflare: "This is my house after the hurricane, it was worse than Rita. <br /><br />"I survived in my closet. Me and my fiance, Jeremy Hebert, ended up getting stuck and had to ride it out."
