Conservationists at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington State have something to celebrate.<br />Officials have spotted a wolverine mother and her two offspring, known as kits in the park.<br />A female of reproductive age and health hasn’t been seen in the park for over a century.<br />According to Gizmodo, the sighting suggests ecological conditions in the area are improving.<br />Wolverines, despite their popularity in the public’s imagination, are very rare in nature.<br />Only an estimated 300 to 1,000 wolverines are thought to exist in the Lower 48 states.
