A towboat on Lake Charles in Louisiana recorded wind speeds of 137 miles per hour on Thursday (August 27th).<br /><br />Footage shows the vessel being battered by wind and rain before crewmember Kyle Ricks turns the camera on the wind speed monitor which at one point hits the 137 mark.<br /><br />Fourteen people are now confirmed dead in the United States after the hurricane battered southern states.<br /><br />Ten of the victims were in Louisiana and four in Texas.<br /><br />According to the "Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale", sustained winds of 137 miles per hour would be a Category 4 hurricane likely to produce "catastrophic damage."<br /><br />++CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN LOOPED++
