South African riot police and gender violence protesters clashed in front of parliament after thousands rallied despite a COVID-19 ban on gatherings of more than 50 people.<br /><br />Police then fired stun grenades and rubber bullets to push the crowds back.<br /><br />Police arrested a few protesters as running battles ensued.
