Most of the apps Americans rely on for work and play are run from the cloud, and are essential for getting pretty much anything done these days.<br />But what happens when the cloud goes down? After all, Gizmodo reports cloud outages are frequent, even if they rarely all go down at once.<br />First, secure your emails. You can enable access to your Gmail offline, or set them up to sync with a build-in desktop client, or one like Thunderbird.<br />Sync your files with a different cloud, such as Dropbox, and configure them so you can access them offline, if your ISP is down.<br />Finally, just give social media a rest. You won't miss it!
