코로나19 어제 195명 신규확진...200명 아래로<br /><br />Our top story this afternoon.<br />The number of newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Korea dipped below 200 on Thursday for the first time in 17 days.<br />Despite the downward trend, concerns remain as the number of critically ill patients is rising.<br />Kim Sung-min reports.<br />South Korea reported 195 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday..., the number dropping down to below 200 for the first time in seventeen days.<br />Of Thursday's new cases, 188 were locally transmitted... with more than 140 coming from the capital region of Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi-do Province.<br />The outbreak in South Korea seems to be slowing but there are still concerns that the number could spike again following a series of cluster infections.<br />The country has recently seen chains of infections at various spots such as a music tuition academy, sports facilities and volunteer groups.<br />And the number of infections stemming from churches and the protest last month at Gwanghwamun Square are still increasing.<br />Another major concern is the spiking number of critically ill patients which stands at 1-hundred-54 as of Thursday.<br />That is the largest number reported within the country since the start of the outbreak.<br />There were 3 deaths, bringing the death toll to 3-hundred-29.<br />The total number of COVID-19 cases in South Korea stands at 20-thousand-six-hundred-forty-four.<br />Kim Sung-min, Arirang News<br />
