'내각 총사퇴 요구'…거리로 나온 불가리아 시위대

It's time now for our Friday edition of Arirang's 'The World Now'. I'm Kim Jae-hee.
We begin with anti-government protests in Bulgaria that have gripped the country for nearly two months.
Bulgaria saw one of its most heated protests on Wednesday, as protesters clashed with police near the parliament building in its capital.
Protesters are demanding the Prime Minister and the chief prosecutor step down, over allegations they allowed a corrupt oligarchic mafia to seize control.
"All we want is democracy. It's as simple as that."
"I sincerely and strongly hope that change can happen without violence and peacefully. It depends on the Bulgarian Prime Minister whether it will be peaceful or not."
The Bulgarian President said on Wednesday, the resignation of the Prime Minister and his cabinet is the only way out the political crisis, echoing the demands of the protesters.
"These resignations are inevitable because people have come out of the hypnosis of propaganda, overcome fear and insist on their right to live in a normal state - a desire incompatible with the current government."
The Prime Minister, instead of offering to resign, is offering to overhaul the country's political system, through constitutional changes.
