WHO "코로나19 백신 안전성 입증돼야...접종은 내년 중반까진 어려워"...러시아 코로나19 백신 임상시험서 전원 항체 형성<br /><br />The World Health Organization has once again called for rigorous testing on the effectiveness and safety of a COVID-19 vaccine before authorization.<br />On Friday, the agency said that there is currently no vaccine candidate whose efficacy level in clinical trials has reached above 50 percent the standard sought by the WHO.<br />It added that widespread COVID-19 vaccinations were not expected until mid-2021.<br />This comes as several countries, including the U.S. and the U.K., seem to be rushing to release a vaccine, before finishing the late-stage clinical trial.<br />However, Russia's Sputnik-V, the world's first vaccine, which hasn't gone through Phase three, reportedly shows 100 percent of participants developing antibodies to the new coronavirus.<br />
