It's a federal crime to vote twice in the same election, and it's also a felony in almost every state, including North Carolina.<br />But that didn't stop President Donald Trump from suggesting to his supporters there that if they vote by mail they should also attempt to vote in person.<br />According to CNN, Trump made the suggestion at a Friday night 'telerally,' saying it would allow his supporters to check that their vote was counted.<br />According to CNN, such a move would cause chaos at the polls and undermine confidence in the election.<br />It's not the first time Trump has suggested his supporters commit the felonious act of voting twice. He did the same at a live rally in North Carolina on Wednesday.<br />The White House has tried to defend the President's comments suggesting that Americans vote twice, saying Trump "wants enfranchisement" and is simply trying to get Americans to "verify your vote."
