이낙연 "고통 더 크게 겪는 국민 먼저 도와야...국난 극복 위해 통합 정치 실천하자"<br /><br />South Korea's ruling party is vowing to win the fight against COVID-19 and prepare for the post-pandemic future, but urging bipartisanship.<br />In a policy speech Monday, the party's floor leader Lee Nak-yon said the country should prepare as one for a generation of great transformation.<br />He emphasized the need for a safety net to protect the most vulnerable in society, the development of new industries and the Korean New Deal as well as balanced development.<br />Noting how COVID-19 has hit the vulnerable the hardest, Lee said they must be the first to receive the second emergency benefit, ideally before the end of September.<br />Lee urged cooperation from the opposition party, offering to resume regular talks between the two sides.<br />
