Superstitious locals flock a Thai Buddhist temple celebration that is believed to bring good luck and fortune.<br /><br />Footage shows people entering the Sanam Chai temple in Ang Thong Province to pay homage and pray on September6.<br /><br />The celebration is marked by men setting off colourful firecrackers in the air and bustling sidewalks with vendors selling lucky charms.<br /><br />The temple is believed to be a source of luck so most visitors buy lottery tickets outside after praying and burning incense sticks.<br /><br />Aside from popular superstitious beliefs associated with the temple, it is also regarded as a cultural gem in the country.<br /><br />A number of ceramic plates from China decorate the front entrance which monks believe to have originated from the ancient Ayutthaya period.
