I'm Kim Jae-hee.<br />We begin with updates on Russian President Vladimir Putin's most prominent opponent, Alexei Navalny.<br />The hospital treating him in Germany said on Monday... the anti-corruption campaigner's condition has improved, and he is out of a coma.<br />They also noted he is responsive to speech and is being weaned off mechanical ventilation, but says long term damage cannot be ruled out.<br />The 44-year-old prominent Putin critic was taken ill on a return flight to Moscow last month.<br />His flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Omsk, Siberia, where he was sent to an intensive care unit, before being transferred to Berlin two days later.<br />German chancellor Angela Merkel said last week that there was "unequivocal evidence" Navalny had been poisoned by a Novichok nerve agent.<br />The Kremlin responded by saying Russian doctors had not found any traces of poison before Navalny was transferred to Berlin, and accused Germany of not sharing information.<br />Frustrated with Russia, Germany has warned it could rethink the fate of a German-Russian gas pipeline project.<br />
