Footage shows flooded roads after heavy rain in Phayao, northern Thailand. <br /><br />The area was battered with heavy rain for two consecutive days causing a river to burst its banks - sending torrents of water onto nearby fields and streets. <br /><br />Residents had to battle through the deluge while they wait for the water levels to subside. <br /><br />Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia are at the peak of the annual rainy season, that sees regular tropical storms until cooler weather arrives towards the late October.
