Iran is reportedly plotting to assassinate the American ambassador to South Africa, Lana Marks. It apparently wants to avenge the murder of its powerful general, Qassem Soleimani, earlier this year. The Politico website is reporting that Marks is probably a target because of her closeness to US President Donald Trump.
