Vaccinologist and member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee, Professor Shabir Madhi, says the number of people who were infected with COVID-19 was probably way above the confirmed figure of 650,000. During a Daily Maverick webinar yesterday, Madhi said he believes that up to 40 percent of people living in SA's densely populated areas were infected.
