Hundreds of residents have been evacuated after floods swamped homes in Malaysia on Tuesday (September 15).<br /><br />Heavy rain in recent days has caused rivers to burst their banks close to several cities in the state of Sarawak.<br /><br />The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Center noted that more than 120 residents in Song City also had been evacuated. <br /><br />They are now being temporarily evacuated in the Naga Embuau Public School building while other displaced locals have been housed in temporary shelters.<br /><br />Apart from these two cities, floods also inundated the streets of Kanowit, Sibu and Miri Cities.<br /><br />In several locations, the water level has become treacherous and more than two metres deep in some parts.
