국내 코로나 '지역 감염 세자리 수'... 정부, 개천절 집회 철회 강행<br /><br />We start with the COVID-19 situation in South Korea.<br />The country is seeing new cases from cluster infections linked to churches and one of the largest hospitals in Seoul.<br />Health authorities are also struggling to get the number of new daily cases back down into the double digits.<br />Choi Won-jong reports.<br />The number of local infections in South Korea has jumped back into triple digits after dropping below 100 for three days in a row.<br />As of Wednesday, the nation reported 113 new cases.<br />Out of them, 105 were local infections.<br />This brings the total number of cases to 22-thousand 5-hundred 4.<br />No additional deaths were reported, keeping the death toll at 3-hundred 67.<br />Since the 3rd of September, the number of new cases has shown a downward trend, but hasn't quite fallen into double digits yet.<br />Due to the lingering cases of cluster infections and untraceable cases, the health authorities have banned political rallies in central Seoul on the National Foundation Day on October 3rd.<br />"If the rallies still continue, the government will respond in accordance with laws and principles to protect lives and public safety."<br />The number of untraceable cases in the greater Seoul area is increasing.<br />As of Wednesday, more than 25-percent of new confirmed cases are still unable to be traced ,... meaning one in four cases comes from an unidentified transmission route.<br />Health authorities are still facing a tough challenge to curb new potential spikes, as the upcoming Chuseok national holiday is getting closer.<br />Choi Won-jong, Arirang News.<br />
