트럼프 "코로나 백신, 3∼4주 안에 나올 것"<br /><br />U.S. President Donald Trump raised hopes about swift U.S. approval for a coronavirus vaccine, claiming that the shot could be ready within three to four weeks.<br />Speaking in a town hall event hosted by ABC News' George Stephanopoulos, Trump defended his handling of the coronavirus crisis, and said a vaccine could be ready for distribution, but did not specify when the FDA would give the greenlight or what vaccine could be approved first.<br />Trump's latest timetable is far more optimistic than estimates by drug industry experts, including National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci.<br />Fauci previously said to expect a vaccine approval closer to the end of the year with broad distribution next year.<br />Public health authorities have raised concerns the White House is pressuring the FDA to approve a vaccine before the U.S. presidential elections on November third.<br />
