Typhoon Noul slammed into central Vietnam on Friday (September 18). <br /><br />Footage shows the strong wind and rain from the storm blowing trees and lashing roads in the city of Hue in Thua Thien Hue on Friday.<br /><br />The storm reached Vietnam's central coast today after strengthening as it crossed over the South China Sea.<br /><br />It is expected to move west into Laos and northern Thailand, where severe rain and flooding have been predicted over the weekend.<br /><br />The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting is Vietnam warned of winds of up to 160 kilometres per hour.
