미 국무차관 대만 방문에 성난 중국…고강도 무력시위<br /><br />China has reportedly held military drills near Taiwan during the visit of a top U.S. official to the self-governing island... amid escalating tensions between Washington and Beijing.<br />The Taiwan-based Liberty Times Net newspaper reported multiple Chinese military aircraft flew near the island's airspace for about an hour on Friday morning.<br />This prompted Taiwanese fighter jets to be scrambled to usher them away.<br />The drills come as U.S. Under-secretary of State of Economic Affairs, Keith Krach visits the island.<br />He is meeting Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen... in an apparant show of U.S. support for Taipei.<br />
