A Johor-based NGO known as "Muda!" has claimed that Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman had plagiarised its identity for his new youth-led political party of the same name.<br /><br />Muda!'s founder Onn Mahathir told Malaysiakini that Muda! had been around since 2018 and was officially registered with the Registrar of Societies.<br /><br />For the record, Syed Saddiq submitted his application for Muda, short for "Malaysian United Democratic Alliance", yesterday.<br /><br />Syed Saddiq, in a brief response to the NGO's criticisms via Twitter, said that his new party's name did not breach any intellectual property (IP).
