Plants overrun balconies turning residential buildings into vertical forests in southern China.<br /><br />In the video, shot in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province on September 13, manicured gardens were seen on every balcony in the eight blocks of 30-storey residential buildings.<br /><br />According to reports, it was an experimental green housing project in Chengdu's Qiyi City Forest Garden and it was the first vertical forest apartments in the province.<br /><br />The video was provided by local media with permission.
