A wild Asian black bear was caught after terrorizing a village for two weeks.<br /> <br />The ferocious animal had rampaged through properties injuring four locals in Khon Kaen, northeast Thailand.<br /> <br />Dozens of wildlife rangers and residents searched for the wild bear before it was finally found on September 16.<br /> <br />The rangers pointed tranquilizer guns towards the bear to stop it but the bear took flight. One staff of the team was seen running in panic as the animal charged - before jumping down into the small pond so he could hide.<br /> <br />The animal was finally cornered and tranquilized after several hours of pursuit. Vets checked the animal's pulse before giving it a macro drip.<br /> <br />Locals cheered when they saw the unconscious bear being carried into the truck.<br /> <br />Volunteers from the Phu Wiang National Park and Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary carried it away.<br /> <br />The animal was later transferred to the national wildlife center in Chaiyaphum province. The vets and keepers will conduct the health check before releasing it back into the forest.
