코로나19 어제 125명 신규확진 이틀째 세자릿수…지역발생 110명<br /><br />South Korea sees a slight uptick in the number of new COVID-19 cases reported, with the majority of Thursday's cases coming from the capital region.<br />Bae Eun-ji reports.<br />South Korea reported 125 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, of them 110 were locally transmitted and 15 were from overseas.<br />It's the second day in a row with more than 100 infections.<br />The number of daily cases had briefly fallen below 100 after being in the triple digits from August 14th to September 19th.<br />Following strict level 2-point-5 social distancing measures, confirmed cases dropped to as low as 61 on Tuesday before rising again.<br />Among locally transmitted cases on Thursday, 92 came from the greater Seoul area, with 39 reported in Seoul and 43 in the surrounding Gyeonggi-do Province.<br />"Cases in the Seoul metropolitan area still account for 70% of the total cases. We are worried as sporadic cluster infections continue to appear throughout the nation."<br />The Vice Head of the KDCA went on to say that the upcoming Chuseok holiday, which starts on September 30th, must not bring a second wave of COVID-19.<br />The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 23-thousand-341.<br />There were five additional deaths,... raising the death toll to 393.<br />Bae Eun-ji, Arirang News.<br />
