S. Korea's exports rebound for first time in seven months

9월 수출 7.7% 상승... 코로나 딛고 7개월 만에 반등<br /><br />The nation's exports rebounded for the first time in seven months in September as major trading partners slowly resumed business amid the COVID-19 pandemic.<br />Data by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy shows increased shipments of semiconductor chips and automobiles drove figures up seven-point-seven percent on-year, from 44-point-six to 48 billion U.S. dollars.<br />South Korea last enjoyed an uptick in exports back in February, before the economy felt the true impact of the coronavirus.<br />Imports also rose one-point-one percent to just over 39 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of eight-point-eight billion dollars.<br />
