1 In 4 Women Use cannabis To Ease Menopause Symptoms

More women are beginning to use cannabis as a way to manage some symptoms of menopause.<br />Roughly one in four women in a survey said they had used or currently were using cannabis to manage their menopause.<br />According to UPI, fewer than the one in five reported they were using more traditional treatments such as hormone therapy.<br />The findings are according to a study shared at the 2020 Annual Meeting of the North American Menopause Society.<br />Fifty-four percent of women respondents said they experienced hot flashes and night sweats.<br />69% of respondents eported genitourinary symptoms and 27% said they had insomnia.<br />About 27% of those surveyed reported using cannabis to manage symptoms, including hot flashes and night sweats.
